how will u guys be celebrating this sunday?
go out and eat?
eat at home?
not really celebrating?
just buy a cake?
r u gonna give ur mummy a present?
can i ask whether u guys have ever hugged ur mummy? and i dun mean those times when u r still young ..i mean now, well..in ur teenage years...i never did that, even though i thought about it a lot of times..but i din dare to take initiative in case i m "rejected"...as u know, i grew up in a typical chinese family, where we dont always speak of "LOVE"..love in my family is in the form of scoldings and beatings and lots of "wei ni hao" actions...the only one who can hug my mother and not get rejected would be my youngest sis now...i wonder if it will still be the same when she grows up?
there are times when i wanted to show my appreciation of my mom, but i don't know how to express it...even saying a simple thank you feels so mushy...i can imagine the scenario in my head already...
me: ma...thank you...
mum: zuo mo jiang thank you?
me: erm..*fidgets* thank you for..uh...aiyah...thank you lah!!
mum: shen jing bing ah ni...
HAHAHAHAHA....shall i really put to test n see whether the result is the same as i imagined?
anyway...i've been brainstorming about mother's day gift...what should i get for her ah?can't spend $$ cos no $$ to spend...my creative brain juices have ceased to flow recently...dunno wat else i can do...sigh...
my youngest sis made a paper carnation for my mom at skul yesterday...she came back n told me about it..and made me promise i wouldnt tell my mom about it first cos she wans to surprise my mom on sunday...and then during dinner time..she goes "ma...wo zai xue xiao zuo yi ge hua gei ni..ke shi bu ke yi gei ni kan xian.." i m sooo...kekdao...she told me not to tell, then she sendiri blurt out pula...--'''
fast forward to future...can u guys see urself as parents? i think i have a love-hate relationship with children..and i doubt if i will be a good mama...lol...i love them when they are cute n obedient, but hate them when they become disobedient and naughty...especially if they starts to make a racket..i will seriously go crazy one...
when i m younger i used to think to myself..when i become a parent, i must make hugging a habit in the family...must get children to hug me before going to school, or anywhere else..sometimes i do think ang moh families are good in some ways...maybe we should take the good parts from ang moh and good parts from chinese families and strike a balance between the 2 of them...what do you think?
