belated birthday lunch.

before i start...stupid mosquito bit my left ring finger and also a spot under my lower lip..damn itchy lahhh....

my fren jinrou said she's gonna treat me to a meal as a belated bday celebration...and she said she's feeling rich as she just got payment from her tuition, we headed to holland village to eat. in the end we settled for italian food at this restaurant called Al-dente sth sth...maybe becos it was quite late when we arrived, around 2.30pm,which is after the usual lunch hour, the restaurant is literally empty. it's like we booked the whole restaurant like that..though we felt a bit out of place cos we were wearing too casual, and the place was quite classy. i din take pics of the environment though..feel so paiseh..anyway..so we ordered the executive lunch set, which comprises of an entree, main and dessert with complimentary tea or coffee for $18.90++

oh well..let the pictures do the talking...i din manage to take pics of the entree..cos it was after we ate them then we realised we meant to take pics of them de...one the main-pasta with crabmeat,zucchini,chilli in tomato sauce
carpellini(i think) with beef in homemade tomato sauce..i prefer this one better


dessert!! chocolate ice cream with walnuts(portion is generous!)
complimentary tea--big mug too!
they offer brown sugar and milk instead of white sugar...isit becos italians do so?or they r jus more health conscious? well..jinrou kept adding cos she said the sugar not sweet at all...

the entrees we had was wild mushroom soup with cream..reli delicious..and a wat wat rocket salad with mushroom, which made me feel like a rabbit munching on raw vege..shud hav ordered caesar salad instead...oh well...

but overall i think it's quite worth it lor..coming from someone who's quite she bu de spend money..the portion quite okay..not too big nor too small..jus well for one person...after the whole course u ll feel quite full..but not bloated...and the food is not bad too...and also the atmosphere and ambience quite good lah..maybe becos we were the only ther..so feel veli quiet like that...too bad it doesnt offer dinner set..it would be a nice place to dine in..
