funny how 3mths spent in brunei flew by just like that, but i suppose i shouldnt complain. i was one of the earliest back in brunei and the latest back in sg among the five of us. thought of sleeping already but i thought i'll just blog my gan xiang tonite in case i forget and tomolo is a bz bz day. pardon me if my eng sounds weird, my brain half dead liao, seriously pei fu sy who got like 9hrs of sleep in 2days?
today doesnt seem to be different from the other days, but there's this atmosphere in the air that kinda cause a pang in my heart? hahaha...both my sis and bro skipped their extra classes today, and i'd like to think it's because they wanted to spend more time with me, not because they overslept and were too lazy to rush to school. spent the day having breakfast and lunch with mom n siblings outside, then went back to do last minute packing. it was sort of surreal, me packing up but it doesnt seem as though i m going to fly. printed out accomodation offer letter and googled to see where RVR tower block is (RVR is my hostel)
arrived at the airport, checked in but reluctant to go to the waiting room yet. so went to jollibee with family. in the end got announcement calling for passengers of my flight, so went in lor. i kept feeling i haven said goodbye properly, though before starting towards the doors got say liao, then walk a bit turn back and wave liao, then before entering the doors wave again. i think starting from tat moment i've been on autopilot, doing what i was supposed to do, scan bags, sit n wait etc etc.
flight was uneventful, watched Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, but didnt finish it. airplane meal sucked. thinking of it now makes my tummy quesy.

oh and i m very annoyed at the taxi driver who droved me to uni. he kept talking to me in hokkien, which i had to struggle to understand. i replied in mandarin though, i tot he would get the hint and talk to me in mandarin too, seeing i took quite some time to formulate a reply to his questions. trouble started when we arrived and i gave him brunei dollar $100. he started to get annoyed, saying i shouldnt have pay him in big notes cos he doesnt have change (i think he has, his reason was later the next customer oso give him big notes he dun have change anymore). somehow we ended up conversing in english, and he spoke in this irritating tone which made me angry myself. wth lor, i only have that note, and even if i was in the wrong (cos he said i shud have told him i m gonna pay him using $100 note wthhh) he shouldnt have spoken to a customer in that kind of tone. i told him i dun have any money except for tat and a $2 sg note. he became increasing annoyed and ask me if there were any canteens or shops open so that i could go and change or if i could find some friends to help out.in the end i called sy to save me. when i directed him to raffles hall, he asked me how far he needs to go. i told him just in front only, not very far. he go and ask me how many kilometers. i was like hah? i dunno, not very far. HE SAID I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN HOW TO ESTIMATE DISTANCE!!!!!! ARGHHHHH!!!! and when he brought me back to my place and i paid him $30. he was like "i tell u la, no taxi driver wans to accept big notes de...bla bla bla..." in this 早知如此何必当初tone. i just offered him a fake smile saying "i know, thank you.." KNS de. can complain this guy o not? i noted down his name leh!!!! but license plate nada though...
went to my room, it was soo dirty. mood terus plunged down..miss pgp lor...stupid me shud have just stick with pgp...haih...cleaned up a bit using a rag, went all the way to Amilyn's to borrow broom/mop. mei xiang dao missed the last bus, end up walking all the way back from Sheares to RVR. been cursing myself silly on the way back. sigh~~ now room is moderately clean liao...
i guess the whole point of this post is to rant abt the stupid driver. haih...
dunno why, the last 3 mths in brunei seemed to wipe out the memories of living here for one year. only when i got on campus i realised ppl don't sleep here, ppl could be seen jogging in the middle of the night, tons of PRC around, basically the atmosphere is a lot tenser? not as laidback in brunei. 搞到我feel like i needed to do sth also..and i ve been contemplating, maybe appeal to move back to pgp type c room..hahahaha...wonder if the location of RVR is worth the 不爽of staying in RVR.
off to sleep, early day tomolo!
