impromptu KL trip 1

decided to go to KL during the later half of my recess week. it was quite on-the-spur-of-the-moment decision...

main reason why i went to KL was to do my medical checkup, which was due to expire end of september. initially i thought the expiry date could be extended till december, but apparently i wrote in too late to request for the extension.

debated whether to fly or take bus. although parents are okay with me flying, but i thought i should be a nice daughter and help save money. so decided to take coach. since i've never taken one before anyway, and it seems quite comfy. opted for grassland to KL and konsortium back to sg in the end.

wednesday came and i was actually a bit excited. after returning from TBT class, i planned to shower, pack, study a bit more for midterm test on mon, and set out to golden mile complex. didn't plan to attend the floor bonding session that night initially, but i left my door ajar and someone came knocking, asking me to join them. so joined in i did, but wasn't aware of the passing time until it was 9.30pm! i wanted to leave campus at 10pm, so that leaves me half an hour to shower, finish packing and if time permits, do a short vid for cheehwa's bday that kh "instructed".

managed to finish everything by 10pm (even made a imo stupid vid hahaha). went to wait for 95 which took forever to come. sat on the bus nervously and in the end couldn't help myself and asked the bus driver to let me down at the stop with bus 100. stopped at one stop after buona vista stn and waited some more for bus 100. was a bit worried i can't reach there in time.

there was this flyer detailing the route of bus 100 on the bus, so i was checking it every now and then. but due to f1, certain parts of the route were changed, and i was so worried that the change means they won't even pass by/go there anymore. asked the driver and gotten the reassurance that i needed.

however i only reached golden mile complex at 11.15pm. was supposed to check in at 11pm...hurried to grassland's office and thank god i was in time, cos they were starting to close office already. once checked in, rushed to the car pack to board the bus, and realised there were just 3 passengers including me?!

in a way quite nice also, it's like chartered bus. grassland's service actually not bad, or maybe cos there were just 3 of us. we were provided with a towel/blanket each to keep us warm. though the seats i must admit, is not as good as konsortium's. slept through most of the journey and arrived at berjaya times square at around 4.40am. waited uneasily for cousin to pick me up, all the while brain was conjuring up various scenarios of bad events happening. worried that cousin forgot about me, wanted to call but realised my phone doesn't have roaming as phone credit was less than $8. contemplating buying a prepard sim from 7/11, but in the end saw someone using public phone and so i decided to use that instead to call. COUSIN JUST WOKE UP FROM MY CALL lol...not very surprised lah, look at the ungodly hour i asked him to come...

first breakfast in KL consists of hot milo that was overly sweet and a roti canai kosong with cold curry dips. went back to cousin's place and slept till 11am plus. after that went to the medical centre (on a motorbike! hahaha long time never ride on bikes already) to collect pre-exam questionnaire. the medical centre was near 1utama, so after collection went to have lunch at 1utama. fast food is seriously way cheaper in msia man...

went back to cousin's place where i proceeded to watch movies on PPS for the whole afternoon. damn relaxing. at night went to pasar malam where we bought cheap dinner and sweet sweet mangoes! after that watched another movie again before concluding it a day and went to bed.
