so this is how it feels-cont

today i think i almost fainted. literally. not "omg what it this?-pengsan-" kind of fainting, but really blurred vision, seeing dots and breaking out in a cold sweat faint. and i think what's scarier is the thoughts my mind came up with when i'm at the edge.

i signed up for an exercise class this semester, it's called ABT (abs, butt, thighs). i signed up for a similar class last semester and i quite enjoyed it, so i thought i'd join again this semester, but i wasn't able to register with the club i signed up with last time, and since this other club is offering something similar i thought i'd just go for it.

the warmup was fun once i got the hang of it, you know i have poor hand feet coordination lol (i have the same hand same foot syndrome). but when we moved into squats and lunges i was feeling the burn more than before. at that time i thought it was because it's been a long time since i last exert myself like this, but the more i do the more uncomfortable i became. when the instructor called for a break i was already in cold sweat and my heart was beating really fast. i thought i was dehydrated (mouth, throat were dry) so i headed towards the bench to get a drink. but when i reached there my vision blurred. like there's this white mist in front of me. no matter how much i blink it just wouldn't go away. i could just make out blur shapes of people and things. and i didn't dare to sit down 'cause i was afraid it will make me dizzier.

in the end i sat down because my vision was so bad. and i got quite scared because i never experienced this before, i thought this blurred vision thing will pass after a while. and then i got clammy hands and i was in cold sweat. and then i started to think if i m getting a stroke (cos i read in today's paper that the teenage actor in "im not stupid" was admitted to the hospital because they suspect he's having a stroke?), am i going to faint in front of so many people, is this going to pass soon....i even try the tests on myself to see if i have the symptoms of stroke..you know, those forward emails i used to receive. test whether you can speak normally (i tried to recite the words on the back of some girl's shirt in front of me), if you stick out your tongue is it uh crooked to one side (i tried also believe me..i had full control of my tongue). but then my hands were sort of numb and i had a bit of trouble to get them to behave cause a bit stiff?

the whole ordeal was quite scary for me. the only incident i could compare to was when i had an asthma attack when i was young. i had trouble breathing and got blurred vision also. got sent to the icu in the end. thank goodness i recovered in like 15min? it seemed so long to me. funny how the brain conjures up scary thoughts when the body experience sensations like that.

in the end i concluded that maybe it was because i had low blood sugar when i went to exercise. thinking back i realised i only ate an apple and yoghurt around 1plus 'cause i woke up late. and after that i just sat in front of comp doing work/fb/watching shows until it was time to go to exercise class. i guess the apple and yoghurt were long digested then. after the class i went to cheers to buy myself bread, felt better after eating.

maybe i should google what one should do on the verge of fainting.
